RARANGA WEAVING: SMALL BASKETS

Description

Ready to take your raranga weaving to the next level? This workshop is designed for people who have some experience weaving putiputi (flax flowers) and want to build on their skills. You will learn how to weave small harakeke baskets that can be used around your home or given as thoughtful handmade gifts.

Ko Te Ati Haunui a Pāpārangi tōku iwi, also ancestors from England and Scotland. Ko Kathy Harford tōku ingoa. Along the way Kathy will share tikanga (cultural practices), Te Reo (language), and practical weaving techniques in a calm, fun and supportive environment. All tools and harakeke provided. Max 10 participants.
