KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS
Starts 27 July from 6-7.30pm
Description
Winter is the perfect time to learn knitting — a relaxing, creative skill that pairs beautifully with long evenings and cosy days indoors. Whether you would like to make warm handmade items for yourself or thoughtful gifts for others, this beginner-friendly course will help you build confidence from the very first stitch.
Kazuko is a passionate knitter who facilitates our popular Pod-Cast-On group and would love to show you how to:
- Knit and purl
- Cast on and cast off
- Finish up a project
- Read simple knitting patterns
If you have never picked up knitting needles before, or would like to refresh the basics, this course is for you. There will be a variety of beginner projects to choose from, including scarves, fingerless gloves, hats, and more.
Materials for the first class will be provided. After that, you may wish to purchase some basic supplies depending on the project you choose. Individual requirements will be discussed in class.
