THE POETRY OF HOME

Starts 18 October, no session on 1st November so the final class will be 13th December.

Description

For this next series of Poetry Sundays at the WEA, Lucie moves from Gaston Bachelard’s four elements to space, and more specifically, the spaces we call home. Inspired by Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space, these sessions explore how the homes we inhabit — past and present — become places of memory, imagination and belonging. Through readings and creative writing prompts, participants will be invited to revisit the intimate spaces that have shaped them and discover the poetry within them.

Each session offers time to write and reflect, with the opportunity to share words with the group for those who wish. Lucie holds two master’s degrees in philosophy from La Sorbonne in Paris and loves bringing people together around poetry and philosophy.” Please note there will not be a session on 1st November so the final class will be 13th December.
