DRAWING AND PORTRAITURE

Starts 21 October

Description

This welcoming class is suitable for beginners through to mid-level artists. As well as learning and practising drawing fundamentals - such as structure, mark-making and composition - you will be guided in the practice of ‘seeing’ as an artist sees, self-critiquing, and making the most of your existing qualities. The aim is to build both skills and confidence. Because of the small class size, you will receive individual support from the tutor, plus witnessing the process and progress of your classmates, which is invaluable. The final two sessions will focus on Portrait using a model. The cost of the model is included in the class fees. Nina is a working artist and has taught drawing for 20 years. Please bring 4B and 6B pencils, eraser, a charcoal pencil, blending stump and cartridge drawing pad or paper no smaller than A3. You may require some additional media as the class progresses and you become more confident and adventurous! Website: ninacook.co.nz Facebook: ninacookartist Instagram: nina.cook.artist. Max 12 students.
