CREATIVE PRINT MAKING
Starts Wednesday 9th October, 6-8pm,
Description
We will start with a trip across the road to the Art Gallery to view a variety of works including the Marilynn Webb exhibition “Folded in the Hills”. We will then use this inspiration to explore a variety of techniques and different types of print making. These will include: relief prints, especially woodcuts and also mono prints, stencil and simple screen prints. Beginners are welcome. We will supply some inks, tools, plates/blocks, other materials and papers. The cost of these materials is included in the ticket price. Please bring an old shirt, as inks can be messy! Diane was formerly an HoD in Art and Art History and an Education Officer at the Christchurch Art Gallery where she still guides and occasionally teaches. She enjoys making stuff. Please note there will not be a class on 23rd October.
