LIVING WITH AN EV

Starts 3 November

Description

The New Zealand car market is changing rapidly. If you are thinking about getting an EV, are a new owner, or are simply curious, this practical session is for you.

We’ll cover the basics, including what an EV is, different battery types, charging at home and on the road, and maintaining an EV. We’ll also address common questions and concerns: how long does a battery last, is range anxiety a real thing, and are EVs good or bad for the environment?

The session begins with a 45-minute talk, followed by plenty of time for questions. Afterwards, those who are interested can visit a charging station and practise charging a battery electric vehicle. The session will be held at the CWEA. Anne is a retired university librarian with a BSc in Zoology and Psychology who enjoys learning about science, technology and the environment, and loves sharing knowledge with others.
