OUR CHANGING LANDSCAPES
Starts 27 October
Description
Humans have drastically changed the way land is used. Half of the world’s habitable land is now used for agriculture, with major impacts on the Earth’s environment as wilderness is reduced and biodiversity is threatened.
This session will explore how agriculture, forestation, water use and climate change have changed land use over time. We’ll also look at some good-news stories of people working to restore ecological balance now that we have passed “peak agricultural land”.
