Whether you’re a competitive athlete or simply enjoy an active lifestyle, what you eat plays a powerful role in energy, recovery, and long-term health. This course explores how plant-based foods can fuel physical performance, support muscle recovery, and help reduce inflammation.

We’ll look at the key nutrients needed for active bodies—including carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats—and why plant-based sources can be especially effective. The session also includes a cooking demonstration of simple, nourishing dishes, with easy and affordable recipes to take home.

Katarina Tawiri is a licensed Food for Life instructor who teaches nutrition for disease prevention and planetary health. Her practical approach focuses on wholesome ingredients, minimal kitchen equipment, and meals that are both affordable and satisfying.
