CREATIVE PAINTING & MIXED MEDIA

Margaret presents a mini workshop to nurture your creativity and help you to express yourself each week in your art making. Different NZ and International artists will feature for inspiration. From Gerard Richter to Dick Frizzel, Rita Angus to Marylyn Webb. Throughout the term we’ll explore styles, approaches and techniques to extend your painting including some mixed media techniques. The first hour involves a formal tutored session including various exercises to practice style and technique. Then a bonus hour of free studio time allows you to complete the artwork you’ve already begun without pressure.

Similar in approach to Margaret’s popular weekend workshops but in bite size with plenty of feedback. Designed for all levels and suitable for beginners.Please note materials are not supplied and you will need to bring your own paint, paper, brushes, palette, a pencil, eraser and sharpener. As a bonus 11am-12pm is free studio time to complete your work in the Painters Space tradition.
