EXPLORING PATTERNS: CREATIVE THINKING WITH A MATHEMATICAL TWIST

Starts Thursday 23rd 12.30-2pm

Description

If the word "maths" puts you off, but you enjoy spotting patterns, asking questions, or thinking creatively, this series is for you. Inspired by the work of Eugenia Cheng, these sessions offer a gentle and engaging way to explore big ideas through patterns, logic, and collective curiosity. The content differs every term, but the big ideas that emerge tend to be different.

We’ll draw on ideas from maths and logic—not to memorise formulas, but to investigate how we think, solve problems, and make sense of the world. You don’t need to be “good at maths”—just open to conversation and exploration. This course welcomes your questions, experience, and insights. It’s a space to think together, to reconnect with the joy of learning, and to see how mathematical thinking can be both human and creative. See also Games and Chat.
