TECHNOLOGY AND FUTURE OF EVERYTHING

Technology marches ever on - not only is the rate of change increasing, but we are moving towards one of many futures barely imaginable 50 years ago. This course will look at many of these interlinked advancements and reflect on some of the philosophical issues they raise, from personal identity to Artificial intelligence, from Bioengineering to Environmentalism and space travel. We will pay ongoing attention to ethical debates, and how we might address some of the issues that continue to be raised.
