PAINTER'S SPACE

Starts 25th July, 10-12

Description

Each Friday a friendly group of people who enjoy making art, meet at WEA to paint, draw, collage, make prints and generally be creative. So, if you’d like a different perspective, feedback on your art or simply a space to create, then join this group. All levels of experience welcome. If you have a skill you are happy to share with others let Jeanne or Margaret know. Most weeks we have an illustrated talk e.g. 9th street abstract expressionist artists, for 15-20 minutes. Then we shift into applying that to our art. Use your choice of medium on the theme explored. Bring your own materials e.g. brushes, paint, paper/canvas. Note: water jars and newspaper provided. At 12 noon you are welcome to join the "Art Bite" talk at the Christchurch Art Gallery with some of us. Please note that this term, due to high demand, this needs to be booked and paid for as a 6-week block.
