THRIVING TOGETHER AROUND BIG IDEAS
Starts 22 and 29 October. Then changes to fortnightly the tutor will advise that start date
Description
This conversational course explores world views — the ideas, experiences and assumptions that shape how we understand the world and what is happening around us. Using a TED Talk or similar short presentation as a shared starting point, we’ll think together about the complexity of our changing world.
Our conversations follow Natter, Notice, Nurture: sharing ideas, listening for patterns and connections, and developing the thoughts that seem worth taking further. You don’t need to be an expert — your experiences, questions and curiosity are enough.
The first two sessions are a week apart, followed by fortnightly meetings, allowing time to reflect between sessions. The free weeks also provide an opportunity to join Thriving Together through Games. Facilitators Elaine Mayo, Niki Davis and Bronwyn Thurlow (Ng?i Tahu, Te Wh?nau-?-Apanui, Ng?ti Porou) are experienced adult educators who care deeply about the future of Aotearoa New Zealand.
