SCIENCE AND PSEUDOSCIENCE

Starts 13th February, 10.30am-12pm

Description

Is the Earth flat? Is the universe unbelievably enormous? Were the moon landings faked? Join Simon to explore the fascinating line between evidence-based science and the world of pseudoscience and conspiracy theories. These sessions will help you sharpen your critical thinking, understand how scientific claims are tested, and spot when “facts” might not be all they seem. Simon is an award-winning writer, both in NZ and the US. He has twice won the LIANZ non-fiction book of the year award. His latest book was released for Te Papa Press last year titled: Why Is That Weta Singing? The Incredible Insects of Aotearoa.
