VISIT THE CLIMATE ACTION CAMPUS

Tuesday 21st October, 11-12.30

Description

Join Climate Action Campus educator Rachel Cummins for this behind the scenes tour of this special and quite unique educational space. The Climate Action Campus Otautahi is the first of its kind in the country. It’s designed to help students understand, know about and take action on climate change. Children and young people and their communities are at the centre of everything the campus does and aims to achieve. The campus provides a place to learn about climate change; to engage with others from diverse backgrounds, expertise and ages; and to develop and initiate ideas and actions. It is also fast becoming a hub for many organisations fighting for climate and environmental justice. It’s beautiful gardens and spaces are always evolving with art featuring on almost every wall and new areas for learning under development as I write.

Please wear closed toe shoes and dress for being outside. You are welcome to bring your lunch as we will finish with a cuppa. Please note that the ticket price includes a $10 donation to the campus.
