PAINTERS SPACE

Description
Each Friday a friendly group of people who enjoy making art meet at WEA to be creative. Experienced artists/painters who can work independently and want a space to create among others are welcome. We like learning from one another.
This term:
31 Oct: Designs and linocut carving for those going to Ferrymead. For those who will be here on 21st some articles and references for practicing simplification of design. Lino cost included in term fee.
7 Nov: Vicki Lucas will run another ceramics session good for those who missed it last term. Brooches, Christmas decorations or artistic designs. Vicki will bisque fire and return your work to you to paint and varnish in your own time. Fee for clay included in term cost.
14th November no class as it is a public holiday
21 Nov: Kaye Stalker leads a trip to Ferrymead for Printmaking the linocut/foam designs made fee included in term cost.
Fri 28 Nov: Gerard Bradley will run a session on Matisse's line drawings, paintings and cut outs.
Fri 5 Dec: Mona Vale outdoor painting followed by lunch RSVP to Kaye so she can make the booking at the restaurant.
Bring your own materials e.g. brushes, paint, paper/canvas. Note: water jars and newspaper provided.
At 12 noon you are welcome to join the "Art Bite" talk at the Christchurch Art Gallery with some of us.
