THIS IS GRIEF: ON THE ROAD
Tuesday 17 November, 3-4.30, $free - donation welcomed
Description
What happens when grief doesn’t end, but life keeps going? Join grief author and This Is Grief founder Kirsten O’Connor for an honest, informal community conversation about grief, loss, love and the life that continues around them. Drawing on lived experience, writing and her work creating spaces for grief to be spoken about more openly, Kirsten will explore some of the things we often struggle to say aloud, including identity after loss, suicide loss, connection, and learning to live alongside grief rather than trying to leave it behind. This isn’t a lecture, and there is no expectation to speak or share your own story. You are very welcome to simply come, listen and be part of the conversation.
Kirsten O’Connor is a Wellington-based grief author, advocate and founder of This Is Grief, created after the death of her daughter Kahlia by suicide in 2024. She is the author of The Year After Kahlia, STAY and Tiny Invitations, and her work focuses on making grief more visible, understood and speakable.
