What do you know about dinosaurs? New research with emerging technologies reshapes our picture of these extraordinary creatures, extinct for absolute ages ago (66 million years) WOW!! Learn fun facts from award winning science writer Simon Pollard. After a quick break, Margaret will help you switch to channel your inner artist to make a dinosaur artwork to take home. Children 8yrs and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Simon is an award-winning writer, both in NZ and the US. He has twice won the LIANZ non-fiction book of the year award. His book The Little Book of Spiders was released in the US and UK in April last year. His fourth book for Te Papa Press “The Incredible Insects Of Aotearoa” came out in May 2025.
Creative Director of Art Grooves, Margaret Taylor graduated from The Learning Connexion (Diploma in Art & Creativity) over 13 years ago. She’s passionate about art education and has run successful workshops for KAC since graduating and more recently with WEA for both children and adults.
