THE WORLD OF ECONOMICS EXPLAINED

Starts 12th May

Description

Cost of Living. Inflation. Instability. Interest Rates. Disaster Relief. Food relief. Unemployment. Poverty. Wealth. As with last election, the 2026 election may again be dominated by discussion of how NZ manages its economy - a perfect opportunity for us to do the same!

What is Economics? Where did it come from? What is the supposed 'law of supply and demand"? Why does trade affect local prices? Why care about competition or cooperation? Can we tax cut OR tax raise our way to success? This course aims to address these questions as well as those from participants in a fun and accessible way.
