In the depths of the deepest oceans live some extraordinary animals, like the vampire squid, goblin shark and the barreleye fish, which can rotate its eyes and has a transparent head.  Join Simon to hear how scientists are starting to understand life in this largely unexplored habitat. Simon is an award-winning writer, both in NZ and the US. He has twice won the LIANZ non-fiction book of the year award. His latest book, The Little Book of Spiders, was released in the US and UK in early April. He’s currently writing his fourth book for Te Papa Press: Why Is That Weta Singing? The Incredible Insects Of Aotearoa.
