SEWING BASICS: GET TO GRIPS WITH YOUR MACHINE

Saturday 4th May, 1.30-4.30pm

Description

If you have a sewing machine that has been gathering dust or are keen to get into sewing this autumn but unsure of where to start then this short course is for you! The aim will be to gain confidence in using a sewing machine, how to troubleshoot any issues and understand it's functions. Spend some time learning and trying out what your machine (or mine if you don't have one yet) can do. The hope is that you will use functions on your machine and produce a beautiful and useful piece of work....stitching fabric together, finishing, hemming, buttonholes, zips - the options are endless! It's all about building your confidence. Suitable for all ages and levels. Please bring your sewing machine if you have one and if you have specific fabrics and ideas bring them along, otherwise Ruth will have plenty of patterns/fabrics etc to choose from.
