We know climate science is often hard to swallow – it’s detailed, it’s full of science lingo – what better way to digest it than to combine it with pizza and salad for tea!

There is a huge amount of climate change research being published but most of the original publications are not easily accessible.  This workshop is for people who would like a little more detail than that often reported in the media.  The session will look at a selection of recent studies which will be summarised and discussed with an emphasis on those dealing with biological and ecological aspects of climate change.  Examples are likely to include research on the responses to climate change of vegetation, or of microbes in soils or those of marine life.  That bias reflects the interests of the convenor who has a background in biology, a long term interest in climate change and has tried to keep up with some of the research.  Also, the particular interests of participants can be used to focus any future sessions.

The ticket price includes vegetarian pizza and salad. We can provide for gluten free and vegan options – please let us know in advance of any dietary requirements.
