Starts: 4 June, 1-2pm, 4 Thursdays

This crochet course is for those who already know basic crochet stitches, enjoy crocheting but want to learn more skills.  Join Elizabeth Sheid, who is passionate about crochet, for this online course.  Elizabeth has been crocheting for over 30-years and sells handicrafts at the Kaiapoi Market.

During this course, we will work on projects using different stitches or technique such as: Increase and decrease stitch, magic circle, crab stitch, bobble stitch, triple crochet, fan stitch, learn how to change to a different colour yarn within a pattern, along with gaining experience on how to read patterns and crochet charts.

Prior to week 1, you will receive an email containing the pattern and all materials required for the class projects, a link to a learning video for the week and an invitation to a zoom meeting on Thursday starting at 1pm for all those who may have questions regarding the project of the week.

For this course you need to be familiar with how to make a chain and can do single and double crochet.

Week 1 – Review chain, single crochet stitches and learn how to make an increase and decrease. Create “Mary Jane Slippers” using pattern or chart.

Week 2- Continue making and finish off “Mary Jane Slippers” and make “Crochet Coasters”.
