Starts 27 Feb 1 - 2.30 pm, 6 Thursdays, $42

Will there be work in the future? If so what form will it take? What will it mean for our children’s children and their grandchildren? What world of work and/or non work will they inherit? Drawing on critical, current literature on the future of work, and the implications for our increasingly changing world will be examined. Consideration will be given to the impact of digitisation, robots, artificial intelligence, algorithms, technology, automation and social media. Will these developments concentrate political and economic power in the hands of the few? Will there be a need for a universal basic income?
