THE HUMAN QUEST FOR LIFE’S MEANING

Description

Life is a gift. We never asked to be born. Yet here we are seeking to make sense of life in a time bound world. From earliest times to the present, humans have sought to answer the fundamental questions of the meaning and purpose of life.

This course will explore the contributions of some past and mainly contemporary writers who have sought to address these challenging questions. Writers to be considered include Karen Armstrong, Reza Aslan, Stephen Hawking, Yural Harari, Richard Dawkins, Jeremy Lent, Alister McGrath and Lloyd Geering.
