Modern belly dancing is based on the folk dances of the Middle East.  In these classes, we learn about Middle Eastern culture through dance.  All new dancers are welcome as no previous dance experience is needed, and we don't bare our bellies!  As well as studying Middle Eastern culture, we will cover posture and how to dance safely, torso and arm movements, common steps and dance props, all in a supportive environment.  As with all dance forms, Middle Eastern dancing promotes creativity and self-expression, strength, confidence, and body awareness, all through the art of moving to music.

Please bring a yoga or Pilates mat.
